2015
Oceanus Strategic founded.
After years in Hong Kong banking, our founder recognised how strongly high-net-worth clients needed cross-border arrangements, and entered professional advisory to meet that gap with practical, executable structuring.
2017
Expanding into overseas property.
Partnered with property developers across Europe and Asia-Pacific to bring quality residential projects to the Hong Kong market.
2018
Entering institutional investment.
Took an active role in cross-border property investment and established a Cayman ELP fund focused on the Australian property market, marking our entry into institutional investment.

2019
Industry recognition.
Invited by KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) to take part in Invest Korea Week (IKW) in Seoul, and honoured with the GAAP Global Asset Allocation Excellence in Financial Services award.

2020
Asset management licence.
Group member firm Caelus Asset Management obtained its SFC asset management licence in Hong Kong, steadily expanding external asset management and private equity, and forming partnerships with private banks including iFAST, Bank of Singapore, and Julius Baer.

2021
Cayman SPC fund launched.
Launched a Cayman Segregated Portfolio Company (SPC) fund spanning venture capital, private equity, and pre-IPO financing, a key step toward an international, institutional investment platform.

2025
Leading cross-border M&A integration; presence in Taiwan and Australia.
Portfolio company Smart Kreate Group completed its strategic combination with Times Express and H2N, advancing toward a US public listing; in the same year, Oceanus established a presence in Taiwan and Australia to deepen the global network.

2026
Family office formally established.
As clients' wealth needs grew more diverse and complex, the group consolidated into a family office, helping families plan wealth, governance, and lasting succession within a more structured and forward-looking framework.

Our Story
Oceanus was founded in 2015 on a conviction: that China's most dynamic entrepreneurs deserve more than a service provider who simply processes paperwork. They deserve a strategic partner who sees the whole picture, who understands how a child's education choice shapes the timing of an immigration decision, how corporate restructuring bears on asset protection, and how today's investment decision shapes tomorrow's family legacy.
After years in Hong Kong banking, our founder recognised how strongly high-net-worth clients needed cross-border arrangements, and entered professional advisory to meet that gap with practical, executable structuring.
Today, Oceanus Family Office brings together the capabilities of Oceanus Strategic (cross-border advisory), Oceanus Asia Capital (private equity), and Caelus Advisory Management (fund management) under one roof. Most of our client relationships span more than a decade, and some now reach the second generation.

After many years in banking, our founder saw that no firm was offering this kind of integrated, forward-looking guidance to Chinese families expanding globally, and set out to build it. What began as a strategic advisory practice grew, through trust earned over time, into a family office spanning advisory, fund management, and direct investment.
